Meiju Suvas: Pidä musta kiinni
(Säv. ja sov. Jori Sivonen–san. Titta Jaskari) Fazer
Äänitys: Takomo studiot/Juha Laakso, Tom Vuori, tuottaja: Finnlevy/Kaj Westerlund, 1983 Finnlevy
Meiju Suvas is a Finnish schlager singer in her fifties, who in addition to being a recording artist has been known to act in last year’s “rillumarei musical” Höyryä höyryä Haapamäki as well as played the voice of a cat in the 1995 block buster Babe.
Pidä musta kiinni is her second album dating from 1983, and features such Finnish cover versions as You’re in the Army Now, Na Na Hey Hey Kiss him Goodbye and Främling. The stand out track however is Pidä musta kiinni – a hard hitting electro number with italo disco influences written by Jori Sivonen, which we can’t get enough of here at the Kasper Stromman Design Blog.
And that’s why it’s our track of the month.
So good is this track in fact that there’s only one way that it could be improved – and that’s listening to it through high quality Amphion speakers. Actually, if you ask here at the Kasper Stromman Design Blog the warm sound and dynamic range of Amphion loudspeakers pretty much improves any listening experience. And we do listen to a lot of music here at the Kasper Stromman Design Blog International Headquarters.
What’s that? You’re saying you don’t own a pair Amphion speakers? Well then you’ll be happy to know we have a competition going on at the moment where you can win a pair of premium Amphion Ion+ loudpeakers.
Talk about luck!
