Centro Finlandia, Fuengirola

The city of Fuengirola, Spain is known for it’s sizeable number of Finnish ex-pats living la vida loca permanently. But what if you get home-sick? Luckily there’s Centro Finlandia for that.

On entrance you are immediatly calmed by the sight of a cack-handed ladder made of birch tree next to a Unikko canvas print. Like being home already.

There’s naturally a shop providing all Finnish confectionary known to man. Which is a huge relief after living on that horrible Mediterranean diet of fresh vegetables, olive oil and fresh sea food. Hooray for TV-sekoitus!

Periodicals are also in stock. There’s a magazine called “Karppaaja” now? Of course there needs to be.

But food is far from everything Centro Finlandia has to offer. Keski-Pohjanmaan Yrittäjät are also offering their services. It’s good to see someone doing some actual work for a change in this land of mañana.

Okay, so maybe they’re off for some energy healing? We’re liking Centro Finlandia more and more for each step we take.

How about some bear watching? That’s available. Or by the look of it at least used to be at some point.

But the number one selling item of Centro Finlandia still gots to be imported sauna stones.
Because everyone knows Spanish rocks simply suck.
