Frank Valdor and the Arne Bediksen SIngers - Kohtalokas Samba

Frank Valdor and the Arne Bendiksen Singers: Scandinavian Party

Frank Valdor, “King of the Dynamic Party Sound”, released a bunch of dynamic party records in the 1970s. These include the classics Wodka a gogo, Dynamic Trumpet Party and Udo Jürgens Hits for Dancing. He also released Scandinavian Party, which on the cover manages to combine the two things truly great about Scandinavia: nude blond ladies and lots of coloured balls.

The record of course contains all the classics, but as our sample track we’ve chosen Kohtalokas Samba by G. Malmstén. The track is pretty true to the original, but then it is basically what the cover says – dynamic, and with a party sound.

And that’s why it’s the Kasper Stromman Design Blog track of the month.

Would you like Kasper Stromman to dust off a bunch of battered records like this at Flow Festival this year? Then give us the thumbs up here. We can make the magic happen, folks.
